SERGİNİN ADI: THE ART OF HEALING WITH CLAY

CAROLINE DOUGLAS

Caroline’s sculptures are evocations of a dream world, comparable to a vision from a fairy tale, nursery rhyme or folk tale. Caroline is intrigued by stories of the mythic hero who travels inward and the quality of spirit found in the art of primitive cultures. Her animals appear as shamanic beings and wise healers with a childlike innocence. Caroline’s devotion to the healer’s path has helped her discover how humans and animals act as protective guardians of each other. She has exhibited widely and has taught workshops and participated in Symposiums around the world in Morocco, Serbia, Latvia, Mexico and the US. Her work is included in the National Museum for Women in the Arts and many collections in the US and abroad.
